Writing Product Reviews on HubPages using Amazon Associates
One thing that is really good to do on HubPages, are reviews of products sold on Amazon. You can see my hub, List of Movies About People with Mental Disabilities These are movies I have watched and written a short piece about each one. I’ve included about 30 movies in the list and the article is quite popular. So people will search for one of these movies and they will find my hub, then it will give them ideas of other similar movies they can watch. So the fact it is long really helps in search engines.
I have lined up text capsules with Amazon capsules, with a photograph of a red line in between to make the hub attractive looking.
People look to the Internet for information about what products to buy, what movies to watch and we can provide that information in hubs.
Another product review I wrote was 10 Great Book Suggestions for your Book Club This was popular because people are always looking for book suggestions for book clubs. When you write product reviews you can influence and inform people about Amazon’s products. Then I did a sequel, 10 More Great Book Suggestions for your Book Club
When the World Cup was in South Africa in 2010, I did a hub about all the products you can buy if you are a fan. But that was not an evergreen hub. So for a very short time it got a lot of hits, but now no one is interested in it, and eventually I deleted it.
Here is another one I did about electric scooters Electric Scooters for the Handicapped and Slightly Disabled Many people have looked at the scooters from my hub, but I have yet to see a sale from it.
People buy a lot of books and movies from Amazon, but good products to do product hubs about are those in the $50 to $150 price range. You are not going to get much commission if people buy your recommended books and movies. When you advertise higher priced items, they won’t sell very often, but if you aim for the $50 to $150 price range, they are the best products to do product hubs about.
The rule is that for every Amazon product you must produce 50 words of text, you can’t just do a list of products there must be some meat in your article too.
