How to Advertise Amazon Products on Yahoo Groups and Facebook

Updated on November 8, 2011

When once you have an Amazon Associates Account, you can generate a link and use that link in other places apart from HubPages. I most frequently use my link in personal emails, yahoo groups and Facebook. Here are the instructions on how to advertise Amazon products on yahoo groups and Facebook.

Yahoo Groups

I was on a yahoo group and someone was asking for some advice. I’ve been on this particular yahoo group for about 10 years and I’m seen as somewhat of an expert there. I wanted to recommend a book, so I went to the book I was recommending on Amazon, clicked on link to this page and it creates a link with my referral code. You can choose text and image, image only or text only. There is also HTML code on that page, if you need the HTML code. The easiest way to do it is to select link type, right click on live preview, click on copy link location, and then you can paste that in an email to a friend, or on a yahoo group. Someone will read what I wrote, click on the link, go to Amazon and buy the book. If they buy the book from my Amazon link, I get the credit.

Facebook

Every Friday my family has a Family Movie Night and I post the movie we are going to watch on my Facebook page. This has got to the point where if I don’t post the movie, people will ask me what movie we are going to watch. I post the movie using an Amazon link, so that if someone clicks on it and then buys something from Amazon, I get the commission.

First, find the Amazon page with the movie on it and choose the best version of the movie. Right click on copy link location, go to post on Facebook, click on link, paste and attach. Then click on share and it’s a product I have recommended on Facebook with my code attached.

I try not to see my friends as people I can make money from, but if I’m ever chatting and recommend a book or a movie, then I use my Amazon referral code. The trick is to get my Amazon referral code to as many places as possible.
